Your questions
Frequently asked questions
Money, time and paperwork — straight answers to what our clients actually ask.
How much does legal help cost, and how do you set the fee?
All terms of cooperation are set out in an agreement before we begin — no hidden costs.
Keep in mind fees that don't depend on the firm, such as court costs (e.g. the filing fee, expert-witness advances), which are paid directly to the court. During the consultation we let you know their estimated amount.
Can payment be split into instalments?
We agree an individual schedule during the first consultation and set it out precisely in the agreement. We encourage an open conversation about your budget — together we'll find the right financial solution.
What documents should I bring to the first meeting?
If you have letters from a court, a bailiff or a debt-collection company, bring them and check the date you received them — in these matters, deadlines matter a great deal.
If some documents are missing, we can still start the consultation based on what's available, and we'll tell you how to obtain what's missing.
How long does a case take?
The pace of a case is affected by things like the court's workload, hearing dates, the other side's position, the need to appoint an expert witness, or a possible appeal.
At the outset, we present a realistic scenario for how the case may unfold and keep you updated on progress. We do everything we can to keep proceedings moving, but we don't promise deadlines that are outside our control.
Can you guarantee I'll win my case?
When we analyse your case, we give you an honest assessment of your chances — including when they're limited. If proceedings wouldn't be justified, we say so directly.
What we do guarantee is a thorough analysis, a well-thought-out strategy, and full commitment to your case. From the first consultation, we give you a realistic assessment that lets you make an informed decision.
What does the first conversation look like, and what does it commit me to?
If you decide to go ahead, we sign an engagement letter and a power of attorney. Everything you share with us is covered by professional confidentiality.
